If USPS lost your international mail for weeks with no updates and you want an update or refund;

Check tracking details first;

• Go to USPS → Track & Confirm
• Note:
– Last scan location
– Date of last update
– Service type (First-Class Intl, Priority Mail Intl, etc.)
• Screenshot the tracking page

Confirm customs status;

• Check if tracking shows:
– “Processed Through Facility”
– “Inbound Into Customs”
• International mail can be delayed in customs for weeks

Contact USPS directly;

• Call USPS International Inquiry line
• Provide:
– Tracking number
– Sender & recipient details
• Ask if the item left the U.S. or is still in transit

Submit a Help Request;

• Go to USPS → Help → “Where is my package?”
• File an international service request

Open a Missing Mail search (if no movement 7–10+ days);

• Submit full item description
• Include value and mailing receipt

Check insurance eligibility;

• Only the sender can file an insurance claim
• If insured, ask the sender to start a claim

If USPS confirms loss;

• Request refund for postage (if eligible)
• Sender must file the refund claim

If unresolved, share your experience and consider filing a complaint on Xolvie to seek a resolution.
