Turkish Airlines Refused to Correct My Ticket Date and Charged a Cancellation Fee
On February 11, 2025, I bought two tickets for a flight from Istanbul to Samsun set to depart one month later. Not long after, I noticed I had picked the wrong date and reached out to customer service within 10 minutes. Even after contacting them right away, they failed to fix the date or provide a refund. I was informed that canceling the tickets would result in a deduction of ₺1,700. It's absolutely unreasonable to charge such a steep fee for a mistake that was reported just minutes after booking. This experience falls short of what I anticipate from a well-regarded airline such as Turkish Airlines. I would appreciate it if this matter could be examined and addressed justly. I urge you to address this unfair policy promptly.
Progress
You have become a very mediocre brand. You do not provide any refund or change rights for the ticket issued with the wrong date 10 minutes ago, and you have been stalling under the name of feedback. You have completely ruined THY, which I have used for years, in my eyes. Not intervening in any way for the ticket 40 days later is a trap you have set up. Shame on you, may the money you received without any flights be forbidden to you. Pegasus is much better than you. Even after 6 hours, you can refund and change the ticket without any deduction. I will express this on every social media platform I can reach and in my daily life.
