TEB Bank Fails to Help Customer Resolve Zurich Insurance Claim
We purchased an SME fire insurance policy through Zurich Insurance via TEB Bank. Following the natural disaster that occurred on October 14–15, 2026, our business premises sustained significant damage. We notified both Zurich Insurance and TEB Bank on October 21, 2026, but to this day, we have not received a clear resolution regarding our claim. Although our total damages amount to approximately $1.2 million, we would like to emphasize that, in good faith, we are requesting only one-fifth of this amount. Despite this, Zurich Insurance appears to be trying to exclude the damage from coverage, is failing to move the process forward, and continues to leave us in a difficult situation.
Since TEB Bank is listed as the reference bank on this policy, we expected the bank to support us and closely monitor the claims process. However, despite repeatedly contacting the TEB branch manager who referred us to this insurance policy in writing, we have received no response and have been unable to reach them. TEB Bank representatives are showing no interest in the difficulties we are experiencing with the insurance policy they referred us to.
Our policy number is 196861706, and the policy was issued through a partnership between Zurich Insurance and TEB Bank. The damaged business premises are located at Nef 19 Sancaktepe Residential Complex, Akpınar Neighborhood, Kanuni Avenue No. 4, Sancaktepe, Istanbul.
I request that TEB Bank take responsibility for the insurance process it referred us to, ensure that our claim is resolved urgently, expedite the process with Zurich Insurance, and take all necessary steps to secure payment of the amount we are requesting in good faith. I want our ongoing grievances to be addressed and the insurance claim payment to be made without further delay.
