Hello, we were victims of Turkish Airlines and their Customer Service. I booked 5 tickets from Istanbul to Sharm El Sheikh for both ways via a website specializing in this business. I added those flights to my Turkish Airlines application. After a few days, I received a message that our first flight on April 2nd, at 00:40 AM, was canceled and changed to a new flight at 10:00 PM on April 2nd. In order not to lose a day, I changed our flight to April 1st, at 10:00 PM. Everything seemed fine, however, on the last day, I noticed we only had an 8kg cabin baggage allowance per person in the new flight, although we had a 23 kg+8 kg cabin baggage allowance per person in the original flight. I called the company I bought our tickets from. He informed me to call Turkish Airlines so they could give us our original allowance back because I did the flight change in the Turkish Airlines app, and the company couldn't help. Then I called Turkish Airlines Customer Service. They told me "yes, we only had cabin baggage allowance because the original tickets included only that." As a last resort on the last day, I started to inquire about the cost of purchasing one additional baggage allowance. As a result, without obtaining any additional baggage allowance, we attended the flight. In the meantime, I submitted a complaint to the Turkish Airlines website with all supporting documents like our original tickets with 23kg+8kg cabin baggage and our new tickets without 23kg, so they could correct this mistake for our return flight. However, this mistake was not corrected on our return flight. I received their reply after 12 days had passed. The most interesting thing is, that they answered as follows, "There was only 1 piece of luggage allowance in our tickets, and they noticed that we completed our journey." I replied back, "How come you expected our journey not to be completed after you replied that 12 days had passed." And I requested them to listen to our record when I called their customer service. After some time, they replied that during this call, we talked only about additional baggage costs but I did not apply for any additional luggage. Again, I replied back, "Yes, you were right, I didn't apply for it because we should have those allowances in our tickets." Again, I attached all supporting documents and requested them to take care of my issue with an acceptable solution. It is still under review by them. I will post here the update.
