Turkish Airlines Name Change Issue

March 14, 2024 11:34 PM46

I purchased tickets from Turkish Airlines for my son and myself to Italy (Rome). Both my son and I hold dual citizenship. I bought the tickets using our Turkish names. However, since we do not have Turkish passports, we will be traveling abroad with our red passports. Because the names on our passports differ from those on the tickets, I requested a name change. I sent all the necessary documents, including our passports, ID cards, and name equivalency certificates. The name change was made for my son, but I received a message that it could not be done for me, without any explanation. I was only told that I could purchase a new ticket at a higher price and cancel my old ticket. Despite numerous calls, the operators I spoke with kept telling me to wait. I don't understand why a name change was possible for my son but not for me. It feels like they are making things difficult for me while approving my child's request. I don't understand the purpose behind these decisions. If the goal is to resolve this issue, you should resolve it immediately and take appropriate action. We expect something to be done about the inconvenience caused to us. We are earning you money under difficult conditions, but we can't find anyone to address our concerns. We have been waiting for 4 days, and there are only 3 days left until our flight. Due to this uncertainty, we haven't been able to make any preparations. It shouldn't be this easy to disregard someone's efforts. I urgently request a solution.
