I Faced Extra Charges When Turkish Airlines Refused My Child Name Fix

On 26/08/2026, I purchased 4 tickets for a family flight from Antalya to Istanbul. My 4-year-old child’s name should have been entered as Y****, but due to the system’s auto-complete, it was mistakenly written as Y****. As soon as I noticed the error, I called Turkish Airlines customer service, but they did not allow a name correction and only offered cancellation and refund. When we tried to purchase a new ticket, we found that the price had doubled, and on top of that, a ₺250 processing fee was requested. There was also a ₺600 difference between the price given by customer service and the price shown in the system. Throughout this process, I did not see a solution-oriented approach—only additional charges. For the ticket I paid ₺8950, I request that this issue be resolved, my child’s name corrected to “Y****,” and the extra fee demand removed. Ticket number: 2352274968804.
