Turkish Airlines Flight Schedule Changes and Cancellations Causing Inconvenience
To take advantage of affordable prices on the Turkish Airlines website, we purchased plane tickets for 11 people on 14.01.2024 for the SAW/Antalya Antalya/SAW route. Our travel dates are August 25-31. Since we have a 2-year-old son, we chose not to travel by car. From the date of purchase until now, we have received multiple SMS and email notifications about flight cancellations and schedule changes. During this period, we also experienced a change to the Anadolu Jet airline. Initially, the SAW/Antalya flight we purchased, with a departure time of 11:25 and flight number TK7516, was changed to a 19:40 departure with flight number VF3032 according to the latest notification. This means we will be checking into our hotel at around 22:00. The daily accommodation fee of approximately ₺20,000 we paid will be wasted. 1- How can my flight be rescheduled to such inconvenient times without my consent? 2- Why are the tickets we purchased no longer visible in the THY app, and why are they not even visible on the Ajet website? Have these tickets disappeared? 3- I bought my tickets from THY. I do not recognize the Ajet brand. THY is my point of contact, and I expect THY to resolve this issue. If THY cannot solve my problem, they should reimburse us for our daily accommodation costs so that we can make alternative arrangements.
