Turkish Airlines Flight Change and Schedule Adjustment
On January 19, 2024, I had a flight from Sanliurfa to Izmir with a layover in Istanbul scheduled for 16:00. However, I was informed only a few hours before my flight that the plane from Sanliurfa to Istanbul would be delayed. I called customer service to explain that I had a layover in Istanbul and would miss my connecting flight to Izmir. When I checked the flight information, I saw that there were several flights to Izmir around that time. I requested to be rebooked on one of those flights. They told me they couldn't help and ended the call. Half an hour later, they rescheduled my Istanbul to Izmir flight to 02:00 on January 20 without consulting me. When I called back to request an earlier flight, they dismissed me by saying those flights were full, even though I could see on the app that they were not. It is so disappointing that this airline consistently inconveniences its customers. I have lost count of how many times I have been let down by THY. Customer satisfaction is not just about in-flight service, unfortunately.
