Turkish Airlines Baggage Delay on Istanbul-Izmir Flight
I was on the THY flight TK-2349 from Istanbul to Izmir on 13.05.2024. The plane landed in Izmir around 22:30. When I went to the baggage carousel, I noticed that my baggage and the baggage of two other passengers had not arrived. The staff at the THY lost and found office informed us that there was a mishap and our luggage had been loaded onto the next flight from Istanbul. When we asked about the arrival time of the next flight, we were told it would arrive in about half an hour. At that time, it was 22:48. The plane landed, and after the luggage was loaded onto the carousel, I received my baggage at 23:28. Due to this delay, I faced difficulties with transportation. I took the IZBAN to Şirinyer and had to take a taxi home because buses and minibuses had stopped running. This caused both financial and emotional distress. Under normal circumstances, I should have been home by 23:00, but due to THY's irresponsible behavior, I arrived home much later. I have been traveling with THY for a long time and have never encountered such an issue before.
