Turkish Airlines Does Not Value Either People or Animals

97

Turkish Airlines does not value either people or animals. At check-in, a disrespectful female employee refused to listen to what I was saying and tried to charge me for a stroller, which is clearly included in my child’s ticket allowance. I had to argue for 15 minutes to explain the situation. During this time, she punished me by making me move an extra 2 kg from my checked luggage into my backpack — as if to teach me a lesson. I suspect my backpack was deliberately sent on a different flight as a result. When I was dropping off my cat, another woman asked if I had given my pet a sedative. When I said yes, she claimed that there is a rule against it and that my cat might not be allowed on the flight. I asked where this rule was written, and she told me I should have called customer service — which I had already done previously, and they had not mentioned any such rule. I arrived at the gate half an hour before departure. I asked one of the staff members where I could smoke, and she kindly showed me the location. However, when I returned after my cigarette, I was told I was too late and was denied boarding. I had to buy a new ticket and wait for hours at the airport. When I asked why no one warned me, they told me they were not obligated to do so. Meanwhile, my cat was kept for hours in a crate, with a plastic zip tie, sitting in her own waste.
