Turkish Airlines Denied My Flight Cancellation Despite My Xcover Insurance
On December 29th, I bought a round trip flight ticket for 4 people from Adana to Istanbul 1 month in advance. I had xcover health insurance when I bought it. 4 days before the flight day, my child fell ill and was admitted to the hospital and stayed in the hospital for the duration of the flight. I called Turkish Airlines 4 days before the flight, explained the situation, said that he was insured and asked for the ticket to be canceled. The Turkish Airlines customer representative first told me to contact the xcover insurance company and do whatever they say. Since there was no contact number for Xcover health insurance, I sent an e-mail. They did not return my e-mail for 4 days. Then I sent an e-mail again to take advantage of the insurance. I was told that I could not benefit because I did not cancel the ticket at that time. First of all, shouldn't Turkish Airlines customer service know the terms of the insurance they have contracted with? Although it is said that there is no number to reach, they do not give a number in the intermediary position, 2ndly, if there is no contact number of the health insurance, if you do not respond to an e-mail in 4 days, we do not know what to do, we do not know what to do, we ask for help, you send an e-mail after the flight, then you say that you would have canceled it. I sent an e-mail to xcover company again about 1 month ago and you still haven't returned. what kind of callousness is this? Turkish Airlines, if you are working with this company, is it appropriate to say that you were called and asked for help, it is not for us, contact your insurance company? It has been about 2 months and still no solution has been reached.
