Turkish Airlines Delayed and Damaged Luggage Compensation Issues
After my flight with Turkish Airlines on 13.07.2023, from Dalaman to Adana via Istanbul, four of my suitcases, including items for my baby, were not transferred to the IST-ADA flight and only arrived at Adana airport the next day. During this time, we had to make extra purchases for our child's basic needs. Additionally, since we live in Mersin, we had to drive approximately 200km round trip to Adana to retrieve our luggage.
In our rush to get home, we only noticed that one of the suitcases was broken once we arrived. Reports were filed for both the expenses incurred due to the delayed luggage and the repair/replacement of the broken suitcase. I have another flight soon and one of my suitcases is still broken. Despite repeatedly calling Turkish Airlines and stressing the urgency, I am only told to wait, which feels like a stalling tactic. The company seems to do everything to inconvenience their customers.
