Turkish Airlines Check-In Issue Left Me Stranded at Izmir Airport

Turkish Airlines persistently and unreasonably causes inconvenience to ticketed passengers. In summary, if you don't check in 45 minutes before your flight, even if the gates open an hour later, they won't let you board. This left us sleeping on chairs for hours at Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport. The system wasn't working, and about 10 passengers, including myself, couldn't check in online. Despite having tickets, we were told 'you haven't checked in' and weren't allowed to board even though there were 40 minutes left before the gates opened. The gates opened almost 15 minutes late, and even though they opened an hour later, we were directed to buy penalty tickets. THY didn't help us at all, forcing us to sleep on metal chairs for 6 hours. This unreasonable policy is unique to THY. I've boarded other flights even 5 minutes before gate opening. How can THY allow this? How can they leave so many people, including myself, with tickets, staring at a non-departing plane for an hour at midnight? You will pay for this. I have been sick for 2 days because I had to sleep there, and my whole body aches. I also caught a cold. I expect THY to take responsibility for this.
