Turkish Airlines Denied Me To Board and I Experienced Inconvenience Due To the Unprofessional Staff Behavior

Despite completing online check-in and generating our boarding passes for THY's Istanbul/Izmir flight on 26.01.2024 at 18:00, we were denied boarding with the excuse of 'being late' and experienced unprofessional behavior from the staff, which is not befitting of THY. When we arrived at the airport at 17:50, the gate number was not yet determined. A staff member informed us that the gate number would be announced in 5 minutes. After passing through the internal security gate, we saw that the gate number was G10 and proceeded towards it. When we reached the gate at 17:43, we saw that it was closed and we were not allowed to board. When we mentioned that we were passengers for Izmir, we were told 'the gate is closed' and were not allowed in. This situation caused us inconvenience and we had to return by bus. I request compensation for the loss of our tickets. In addition to myself and three friends, two other passengers who had connecting flights were also left in a similar situation. I am also filing a complaint against the staff at the gate and hope that THY takes appropriate action.
