Turkish Airlines Flight Check-In Issue for Ankara-Izmir Route
Early this morning at 04:50, I received news of a funeral and urgently booked a ticket for the 08:10 Ankara-Izmir flight with THY. I rushed to the airport and arrived at 07:15. While waiting in line, I was told that 'check-in is closed' and was not allowed to board the plane. They said it closed '2 minutes ago' and did not offer any assistance. Despite being 43 minutes before the flight's departure, I was asked to pay ₺1850 for a ticket on the next flight. I found myself in a difficult situation. Additionally, when I wanted to pay the fare difference, I tried to use a QR code for payment, but was told that the POS devices did not support QR codes, so I had to pay in cash. I want you to know that THY's attitude has significantly diminished in my eyes. On this painful day, being charged extra and not receiving help despite not being late is very upsetting. I request that my grievance be addressed and that any responsible parties be identified.
