Turkish Airlines Changed My Flight Making Us Wait 7 Hours for Miami Flight
Early (in July) we bought tickets from the Turkish Airlines website for December 10th Dalaman - Istanbul - Miami and return (in January) Miami - Istanbul - Dalaman. These tickets cost 75.000 TL, I bought them directly from the Turkish Airlines website in order not to have any problems. On September 30th, a small time change was made for Dalaman Istanbul and Istanbul Dalaman tickets, which I approved. However, now 10 days before the flight, a change was made for the second time, instead of Dalaman - Istanbul TK2563 at 21:35 they changed it to TK2561 at 17:10, which means we will have to wait in Istanbul for 7 hours. I called and asked customer service if the plane was full or canceled, they said they couldn't see, but TK2563 flight departs from Dalaman to Istanbul every day, is it only canceled that day? They filled the plane and kicked us off to an earlier flight. I bought my ticket 6 months in advance, do we have to wait for 7 hours with my 70-year-old mother? We already have a 13-hour flight, they made this long journey worse. I want them to put us back on TK 2563 or a serious refund needs to be made, waiting for 7 hours is not acceptable, I did not buy these tickets at the last minute. We will both be exhausted by waiting for 7 hours and will have to eat at the airport where everything has astronomical prices.
