Turkish Airlines Cancelled My Istanbul–Melbourne Flight Without Notice and Charged Me
On September 15, 2024, at 01:40 AM, my Turkish Airlines flight from Istanbul to Melbourne (PNR: UXU74F) was abruptly cancelled without any explanation. Throughout this process, I was provided with no assistance or support and was forced to remain at Istanbul Airport for 30 hours without sleep, food, or hotel accommodation. To make matters worse, I was told I could only continue my journey by purchasing a new ticket and was unfairly charged an additional ₺17,000, which I had no choice but to pay. When I contacted customer service, no real solution was offered, leaving me completely stranded and mistreated. This situation has caused me both financial and emotional distress, and I am demanding that Turkish Airlines refund the ₺17,000 fee I was forced to pay, issue a formal explanation for the cancellation and lack of support, and provide proper compensation for the hardship I endured.
