On March 4th, I traveled from Istanbul to Algiers on flight TK4599. Despite knowing it was a codeshare flight with Air Algeria, I paid 3 times the fare (₺35,000) for the ticket due to the assurance provided by THY. The flight was operated by Air Algeria, and my ticket and PNR number were issued by THY.
Upon arrival at the airport, I was informed that my luggage had not arrived and was left in Istanbul. When I contacted THY, I was told that they were not responsible for the issue. This is not the kind of service I expected from THY, especially after paying a premium price for the ticket. They did not even contact their partner airline.
I will definitely escalate this matter to a higher authority. The additional fee paid to THY seems meaningless. At the same time, Air Algeria tickets were priced at ₺15,000, while THY sold them for ₺35,000, and in the end, they claim no responsibility.
