Turkish Airlines App Shows Lower Ticket Price But Charges Much More on Phone
On July 15, 2025, I attempted to purchase a flight ticket from Adnan Menderes Airport to Juba Airport (for travel on August 8, 2025) using both the Turkish Airlines website and mobile app. The listed price was ₺20,666 on both platforms, but every attempt to complete the transaction was blocked by an error stating, “Your transaction cannot be continued due to technical issues.”
When I contacted customer service, they informed me that the same ticket now cost ₺27,560 and that the pricing displayed on the app was not binding. On July 23, 2025, the same ticket appeared as ₺26,652 on the app, yet once again, customer service insisted the price was ₺32,600 and falsely claimed it was the last seat available.
It's incredibly frustrating that a company like Turkish Airlines continuously misrepresents prices and refuses to honor what is displayed in their own digital systems. This practice not only wastes customers’ time but also erodes trust, especially among international travelers. All of this for a ₺6,000 difference? It makes me question whether customer satisfaction and integrity matter to them at all. I urge Turkish Airlines to take responsibility and correct this issue immediately.
