Turkish Airlines And Anadolu Jet Could Not Solve The Problem That Pegasus Solved
AnadoluJet, a Turkish Airlines subsidiary, is a disappointment. My boyfriend made a minor spelling mistake in his surname while purchasing an international flight ticket. When he contacted the THY call center to rectify this, they initially mentioned they could make the change if he uploaded his ID through THY's website during the ticketing process. However, after following their instructions and calling back, they informed us that the ticket was canceled, and changes were not possible. It's perplexing how they can be unresponsive and cause inconvenience, especially when the correct identity information is in the system. Their proposed solution is to refund the ticket money only if a new ticket is purchased and presented. This proposal is unacceptable. Despite explaining the urgency of our situation, with a visa application due in four days, they offered no assistance. We insist on correcting the letter on the ticket. Pegasus, in a similar situation, resolved the issue with a single phone call. This experience is a source of frustration with both THY and AnadoluJet.
Even though the process took longer, THY solved my problem. They did not change One letter on the Ticket, but they made a Note that the check-in staff could see to avoid any problems during boarding.
