Turkish Airlines/Anadolu Jet Didn't Keep Its Promise When Selling Tickets!
I bought a connecting flight ticket from the THY website for Cyprus, operated by Anadolu Jet. I needed to change the date and contacted customer service by phone. They informed me that I would need to pay for the first flight, but no refund would be given for the second flight from Istanbul to Cyprus. Essentially, THY/Anadolu Jet is saying there's no refund for either the first or second flight of my connecting trip. Are you kidding me? I asked for a change, but that was also denied. I checked on their website if changes are possible for the flight I purchased, and it says yes, changes can be made for a fee. Look at this big company; their actions and words don't match. They say changes are possible when selling the ticket, but not after purchase. You know what this is called, right?
