Terrifying Moments, Rookie Pilot, Turkish Airlines Disgrace
The flight from Istanbul to Adıyaman, which my wife and children boarded at 11:10 a.m., took off at noon, a full hour late. The plane was constantly shaking in the air, and my two daughters were in a panic. The pilot couldn't land the plane at the airport for three hours, repeatedly touching down on the runway and back up. During this time, most of the passengers, including the children, began vomiting. Then, because they couldn't land in Adıyaman, they told us they would land in Diyarbakır Airport. After landing in Diyarbakır Airport, without any explanation, they simply said they were refueling and taking off. Imagine how long we were in the air. Only after we asked did they give a statement, refusing to name the pilot and saying I wanted to take pictures because it was forbidden. I am deeply saddened by this situation. The children were so panicked and frightened that they wanted to get off the plane as quickly as possible. Seventeen other passengers disembarked with them. Ultimately, they had to land in Diyarbakır instead of Adıyaman due to the pilot's and Turkish Airlines' incompetence. They're traveling to Adıyaman by land. Therefore, I want a refund for the ticket fees for the service we didn't receive properly.
I'd like to share my wife's story with you:
"I absolutely do not want to fly with Turkish Airlines again. We had such a terrible and frightening experience. We were made to wait for hours on the plane, and there were so many people vomiting and crying that we couldn't stand the stewardess's and the official's voices. I have the footage I took, and I have the recordings of the conversations between the flight attendants and the official without filming their faces. Therefore, I have the documentation for this situation and will file a complaint with all authorities."
