Complaint About Turkish Airlines Flight from Istanbul to Antalya
My flight from Istanbul to Antalya on February 12, 2024, scheduled for 11:35 AM, attempted to land in Antalya for about 1-1.5 hours but failed and returned to Istanbul at 3 PM. Despite AFAD issuing a warning on the same day, Turkish Airlines caused us inconvenience. We were made to wait at the airport from 3 PM until the compensatory flight at 9:20 AM the next morning, with no assistance provided. While everyone else was rebooked on the morning flight, I was told there were no seats left. After questioning why only a few people couldn't get seats, the plane was eventually upgraded, and I managed to board the flight. This caused significant delays for my wedding plans. The second flight had a rough landing after 2 hours, constantly maneuvering over the sea. We clung to our seats, and this experience instilled a fear of flying in us. Upon landing, everyone was praying for a safe arrival. I disembarked the plane in tears. Passengers took medication, and babies cried continuously due to the pressure, yet no flight attendant checked on families until 2 AM. I spent a total of 6 hours in the air, 4 hours on the first flight and 2 hours on the second, experiencing panic throughout. All my paperwork was delayed, and I had to pay an additional ₺900 to the municipality. The whole ordeal was exhausting. I am disappointed with Turkish Airlines' irresponsibility. I was shocked by the staff's attitude, especially when I was treated poorly after expressing my concerns about the limited seating. We weren't even given a bottle of water until morning.
