Hello. On August 10th 2024, My daughter was flying Turkish Airlines, flight 4002 to Ercan, Cyprus (layovers in Antalya and Istanbul). I had paid out their fees and was shocked when she was requested to pay a fee of around $470 USD for my first checked bag (suitcase) before flight! Look, it was just ONE regular suitcase! The ticket cost was about $260 USD (to Canadian dollars that I'd used), and the fee for the first suitcase was almost DOUBLE the price. This was just outrageous. Be careful when using Turkish Airlines, please! Turkish Airlines are acting like scammers! I doubt anyone from Turkish Airlines would care to contact me to manage out the case though.
