SunExpress Lost and Damaged Baggage – Stolen Items and Compensation Request
On January 22, 2025, I flew with SunExpress Airlines on a Dubai to Izmir flight with a layover in Antalya. At Dubai Airport, I checked in two pieces of luggage, expecting to retrieve them in Izmir. However, upon arrival, I was informed that one of my bags was left behind in Antalya and would be delivered later.
After waiting 12 hours, my bag finally arrived, but when I opened it at home, I was shocked to find that the contents had been completely ransacked. My wife’s handbags were opened, cash (400 USD and 2,000₺) was stolen, and shoes were removed from their bags and damaged. Many of our personal belongings were also tampered with or broken.
I demand full compensation from SunExpress for the stolen money and damaged items. This level of carelessness and lack of security is unacceptable. I expect an immediate response and a resolution to this issue.
