I Waited 5 Hours as SunExpress Delayed My Flight Multiple Times Without Explanation
I had a flight with SunExpress scheduled to depart at 06:20, but what followed was an absolute nightmare. First, they announced a delay and said the plane would depart at 07:20. Then they came back and pushed it again to 07:50. Still, no plane. Their excuse? “The aircraft isn’t ready yet.” But the plane was literally sitting in front of us on the tarmac the entire time!
I arrived at the airport at 4:00 AM and have been waiting over 5 hours with no clear answers, no proper updates, and no real support. How can an airline as large as SunExpress be this disorganized and unprofessional? If the plane has been parked there for hours, what exactly are they preparing?
This is not just poor service—it’s a complete disregard for passengers’ time and well-being. People had connecting flights, business appointments, and plans that have now been ruined. I demand an official explanation and compensation for the hours lost and the stress caused. SunExpress needs to take accountability and improve its handling of delays immediately. This experience has made me question whether I’ll ever fly with them again.
