I Had to Pay ₺175 at Airport Because SunExpress Forced Online Check-in Fees
I recently flew with SunExpress and was shocked by their unreasonable check-in policy. Because we didn’t complete online check-in before arriving at the airport, we were charged an extra €5 per person at the counter. What’s even more frustrating is that even if we had checked in online, we would still have had to wait in the same line to drop off our bags and get our carry-on luggage approved. So what’s the point?
This policy clearly serves no purpose other than to squeeze more money out of passengers. It doesn’t speed up the process or reduce waiting time—it’s just a cash grab disguised as a service rule. We still had to go through all the same steps regardless.
This feels like a penalty designed to confuse and exploit travelers, not help them. It’s completely unjustified and leaves a bad impression of the airline. I expected better from SunExpress. Charging people for nothing is not how you build customer trust. I’m requesting that SunExpress review and remove this pointless fee and refund those who were unfairly charged.
