On October 13, 2024, I purchased a pair of Skechers Escape Plan Endless Pursuit shoes from the StarCity Outlet store. Later, I wanted to exchange them for a smaller size and went to the Bayrampaşa Forum İstanbul branch. There, I was told that outlet products could not be exchanged, but the sales representative at StarCity, Mr. M******, had never explained this policy. Eventually, a cashier at Bayrampaşa, following the manager’s instructions, allowed the exchange and gave me the smaller size.
I used the shoes only for daily wear, but after just three months, the edges started bursting and deforming. I contacted customer service and was told that I had to initiate the inspection through the store where I purchased them. On August 9, 2025, I submitted the shoes for inspection. On August 17, 2025, I was informed that the damage was not manufacturing-related and that I needed to collect my shoes from the store.
I paid ₺4,400 for these shoes in 2024, and for them to fall apart in just a few months clearly shows a production defect. The shoes are still within their two-year warranty, and the invoice number is S082024000013372.
I am demanding a full refund for this defective product. If Skechers fails to resolve my complaint, I will escalate the matter to the Consumer Arbitration Board.
