I bought the Samsung UE50TU8000UXTK model television on 09.11.2020 because I was going to have a wedding during the pandemic period. Due to the wedding bans during the pandemic period, I had to have the wedding in July 2021. For this reason, although I did not use the device for about 8 months, it broke down on 04.06.2023. The sound and image on the device are completely gone and no operation can be performed with the remote control. Following the malfunction, I requested service on 07.06.2023 and on 09.06.2023, as a result of the authorized service inspection, I was informed that there was a panel failure and the panel should be changed. A cost of 9,660 TL was charged for panel replacement. Later, as a result of the people around me who use the same model TV and the research I did on the internet, I saw that there were many complaints about the same malfunction from people using this TV model of Samsung. Although there is no impact or usage error on the device, it is unacceptable that such a malfunction is user-related. The fact that the complaints generally occur after the end of the warranty period and that the process works in this way in similar complaints suggests that there is a problem with the production of the device. We preferred Samsung among television brands because we know it as a quality brand, but we regretted it. I will not use any Samsung device from now on and I will warn my environment about this issue. I bought the TV in 2020 for 5,248.90 TL. It is unethical to impose a cost for the repair that is almost twice the price I purchased the device for. I would like to state that I will use all my legal rights regarding the elimination of my victimization in this regard.
