Samsung Dryer Noisy From First Use - Replacement Promised But Denied
On 12/10/2025 I bought a brand new Samsung DV90DG6845LEAH dryer from MediaMarkt online (order no: 278697935) for ₺23,999.00. On 18/10/2025 Samsung installation came to my home in Sultangazi / Istanbul. When they ran the machine, there was a loud noise from the right side metal part, so I requested a replacement immediately. They said another authorized Samsung service would come. This service came, checked the product, tried to fix the noise, but said the noise did not go away and that the product would be replaced. After this visit, I received an SMS stating that the process was completed and that the product was “undamaged” and could be used, which completely contradicted what the technician had told me. Since the day the package was opened by the service, I have never used the dryer and have not even plugged it in. The faulty product was left in my home despite my objection. For about three months I have been drying my laundry by hanging it while there is a new but unusable dryer in my house. During this period, I have repeatedly called Samsung customer service and requested first a replacement and then, due to the prolonged process, a refund. Customer service says the service did not approve replacement; the service says they reported it as replacement. I am constantly passed back and forth and my problem is not solved. On 31/10/2025 I requested a refund from MediaMarkt. MediaMarkt stated that they could refund only if Samsung authorized service issued a report with “refundable” on it. I have been conveying this to Samsung for months, but neither refund nor replacement is made and I am not called back as promised. I do not accept being forced to use a faulty product and my problem being dragged out for months. I request cancellation of the sale and a full refund for this defective dryer and that the contradiction between Samsung authorized service and customer service be resolved.
