On 17 May, our Van–Ankara flight and on 19 May our Ankara–Muş return flight with Ajet, purchased via ucuzabilet, were cancelled by the airline due to weather conditions. Because of the cancellation of the 17 May Van–Ankara flight, we were unable to travel to Ankara and therefore could not attend our visa appointment at the consulate at 08:00 on 18 May, and naturally could not make our return flight either. As a result, our visa appointment was cancelled and our entire plan was disrupted. Although the cancellation was completely outside our control and was carried out by the airline itself, the ticket amount we paid was not refunded to us in full and a significant portion was withheld. When we contacted Ajet and ucuzabilet customer services, we were told that deductions would be made according to ticket sales rules, and our refund request was rejected. However, as far as we know, in cases where the cancellation is not caused by the passenger, the full ticket amount must be refunded. Despite this, neither ucuzabilet nor Ajet showed any real interest in resolving the matter. Due to this process, I have lost my visa appointment and will now have to wait for months to get a new appointment, but for now I only request the full refund of the ticket fees for my cancelled flights. My travel details are as follows: Van–Ankara 17 May departure PNR: 46P1YB and Ankara–Muş 19 May return PNR: 46SNZ. I request that the unjust deductions applied be removed and that the full amount I paid for these tickets be refunded to me as soon as possible.
