My Roborock S8 Doesn’t Lift Mop on Carpet Edges and Leaves My Rugs Dirty

As a mother of two, I bought the Roborock S8 hoping it would make cleaning my home easier. One of the main reasons I chose this model—marketed as one of the best—was its advertised feature of lifting the mops when transitioning onto carpet. Unfortunately, that promise falls flat. While the mops may lift slightly on flat carpet surfaces, they completely fail to lift when approaching the edges of the carpet. As a result, the mop drags across the rug’s edges and leaves them dirty and damp. This is exactly what I was trying to avoid. We chose this device specifically for its carpet-friendly design, but it’s nothing more than mediocre. If you don’t mind your rugs getting stained or your floors not being fully cleaned, go ahead and buy it. But I absolutely would not recommend this product for homes with carpets. Roborock must fix this functionality flaw or offer a refund—I didn’t pay this much ₺ for half-baked performance.
