Do a factory restart through recovery mode on your Philips 55PUS7909/12 Android TV if it gets stuck in a recovery error loop. Pull the TV out of the wall, press and hold the downstairs joystick control on the back of the TV, and then plug it back in.
Hold down until you see the Android Recovery screen. You can use the joystick to choose "Wipe data/factory reset" and then accept. All of your sensitive information will be erased, and the computer will go back to its original settings.
If the problem still happens, use a USB to update the firmware. Get the latest firmware for your model from Philips' support page and save it to a USB drive that has been formatted with FAT32.
You can get back to recovery mode by plugging the USB into the TV. To reinstall the OS, choose "Apply update from external storage" and then the firmware file.
