I took delivery of my 2025 Mini Countryman from the Borusan Avcılar dealership on November 6, 2025, brand new. A 7–8 months earlier, I had purchased another brand-new one with the same color and trim — the only difference was the wheel size. On both vehicles, the offer form clearly specified the 6C5-coded Connected Drive feature, and I paid for it.
However, in the new car I just received, I cannot use any of the remote functions via the Mini Connected app — no remote climate control, no door locking/unlocking, nothing. The car is connected to the internet and receives status updates, but the remote-access functions have never worked since day one. I tried everything over the phone, used different devices, and eventually called the call center. They told me it was a “general issue.” But on my previous car of the same model — and in 6–7 other owners I talked to — the feature works without problem. Also, I have had no issues with any of the car’s other connected features.
Despite all my requests, the problem remains unresolved. If Borusan Otomotiv is marketing and documenting these new vehicles as having this feature but not enabling it, that misleads customers and could pose a legal issue. Otherwise, why does my new car continuously have this problem, while my previous car and those of other owners don’t? I demand that the issue be fixed immediately, and that the service I paid for be provided to me in full.
