I Face Refusal from Mango to Reissue My Birthday Gift Code After Size Issue

Mango had generously gifted me a ₺300 birthday discount code, which I used to make a purchase. Unfortunately, the size didn’t fit, so I contacted customer service to request a new code so I could reorder the item in the correct size. What followed was beyond frustrating.

A representative named G***** repeatedly avoided helping me and did everything possible to avoid issuing a new code. She also refused to assist with other basic requests like updating my address. It felt like she was reading a script—repeating the same generic statements without actually addressing my concerns.

Let’s be clear: I didn’t request this birthday code out of nowhere—it was a gift offered by Mango. When the item didn’t fit, I expected a fair resolution, not resistance. The company should understand that returns due to sizing issues are common and that honoring their own promotional codes is a matter of basic fairness and customer care.

I’m extremely disappointed with the lack of flexibility and support. Mango needs to review its customer service policies and offer a replacement code when a gifted one goes unused due to valid reasons. This experience has made me rethink my trust in the brand.
