We purchased a PAX corner wardrobe from the IKEA Ümraniye store on 01.08.2024, with the project, assembly, and delivery to be handled by IKEA. However, the person who designed it didn’t pay attention to the measurements, and we ended up buying a faulty product. When the product arrived for assembly, the assembler noticed the mistake and reported it to his supervisor. They were supposed to come for a return pickup, but they never did. Apparently, they recorded my phone number incorrectly, even though it was correct during delivery, and we had been in contact. I even had the electrical wiring changed for the wardrobe installation and spent an additional ₺5,000 on top of the wardrobe cost for wall demolition, wiring, painting, etc. As a result, the wardrobes are still in the house and have not been picked up for return. Today marks the one-month deadline; we’ve visited the store at least three times and spoken to customer service by phone at least 10 times. They still haven’t picked it up. On 31.08.2024, we called again and spent about 1.5 hours on the phone. The result? The vehicle meant to pick up the return forgot about us and went to another pickup outside the schedule. They gave us a new time, saying they would come between 18:00-21:00. If you’re considering choosing IKEA again, I’d advise you to think twice. They not only fail to solve problems but also make them four times worse without offering any solutions. You end up just sitting at home waiting. Since we apparently earn money by waiting at home for IKEA, we’ll probably choose them for our next purchase as well. I think they’re either playing a joke or conducting a social experiment, and we’ve unwillingly become part of it. We’ve had an amazing customer experience!!, and now, at this age, we’ve learned exactly how it feels to be defrauded.
