On July 26, 2024, I placed an order for a Pax brand 3-door wardrobe from IKEA's online store, spending nearly 25,000 TL, with a shipping cost of around 2,500 TL. Upon receiving the delivery, the three wardrobe doors appeared to be well-packaged, but when we removed the bubble wrap, we found that the inner cardboard was deformed and all three doors were cracked. It seems that the damaged product was previously returned by another customer and carelessly sent to us.
I contacted IKEA customer service and created an exchange code, but the process took three days and required daily calls. The designated shipping company, Yurtiçi Kargo, refused to pick up the items because they were slightly oversized, despite the fact that the doors weigh around 30 kg each. Now, the seven-day return window is almost up, and IKEA has been delaying by promising to send another shipping company, but no action has been taken.
I am extremely frustrated and feel mistreated by this experience. I will never shop at IKEA again and plan to file a complaint with the Consumer Arbitration Committee regarding this matter.
