Europcar Rental Issue: Blank Promissory Note Not Returned After Hire

On 11.11.2025, after purchasing my flight ticket through Enuygun, I rented a 2025 model Dacia Sandero Stepway from the Europcar branch operated by frt Filo at Mardin Prof. Dr. Aziz Sancar Airport, to be picked up on 14.11.2025 at 21:00 and returned on 17.11.2025 at 21:00. I paid the rental fee of ₺5,442.52 on 11.11.2025 using my brother’s credit card, and my reservation number is 389A1A. However, although a ₺4,000 security deposit was supposed to be charged to a credit card, it was not taken, and instead I was asked to sign a blank promissory note on the condition that it would be returned to me when I returned the car. I had no choice but to accept this and provided the blank note. When I returned the vehicle and requested my promissory note back, the staff told me, “We tore it up and threw it away,” and they did not return it or provide any document or receipt. Despite making the reservation through a trusted platform like Enuygun, this situation severely damaged my trust. I am seriously concerned about the possibility of my blank promissory note being misused or given to someone else. I contacted Europcar customer service after the incident, but received an inadequate response such as “Nothing will happen.” I request the return of my promissory note, or if it was truly torn, that the torn version be given to me, along with an official written explanation and a resolution to the grievance I experienced.
