Podgorica Airport Car Rental Charged Extra €935 Despite Full Insurance and Prepayment
On 25.08.2025, I rented a Dacia Sandero from Podgorica Airport in Montenegro with reservation number 2549-8836-TR36, making a prepayment of ₺18,206.19 (receipt no: 74930711). When I picked up the car, €600 was blocked from my card as a deposit, which I was aware of. However, despite having purchased full insurance during the reservation, I noticed that another insurance payment was deducted. On 01.09.2025, when I returned the car to the office, in addition to the €600 deposit, the office staff took my card and processed a €335 contactless payment without my consent. When I objected, they told me it was an insurance fee and refused to provide further explanation, saying I should contact customer service, and then asked me to leave the office. At present, besides the ₺18,206.19 I had already paid, a total of €935 is still pending on my cards. I was asked to email the Podgorica office with documents to resolve the issue, but no email address was provided. The last four digits of the cards charged are 2590 and 9705. I picked up the car on 25.08.2025 at around 08:30 and returned it on 01.09.2025 at around 17:30. This is the first time I have experienced such a problem, and I request the refund of the overcharged amount.
