I purchased a Dyson V15 Detect Absolute (U3B-EU-RME7413A) from a third-party seller on Hepsiburada using their postpaid option. Unfortunately, the vacuum cleaner malfunctioned, with the trigger button only working on the second or third attempt.
On May 11, 2024, Dyson's service center deemed the product eligible for exchange or return. However, when Dyson customer service contacted me on June 14, 2024, they stated that since I bought from a third-party seller, an exchange wasn't possible, and they would return my defective product.
While waiting for my vacuum to be shipped back, I learned that instead of returning it, Dyson had refunded ₺16,999 to the seller's account. This amount is significantly less than the current market price of over ₺30,000 for the same model.
Initially, Dyson promised to provide a discount code for me to repurchase the product from authorized sellers. However, in subsequent conversations, they retracted this offer. Throughout this process, I never requested a refund.
I want my defective vacuum returned as it was at least partially functional. I don't understand why Dyson has essentially confiscated my property. When I call, they claim there's nothing more they can do. I'm requesting that the defective product be shipped back to me as promised on June 14, 2024.
