About a year and a half ago, I purchased a Dell G15 5511 laptop. Two to three months after the purchase, the device suddenly shut down and had to be sent in for repair. Despite requesting a replacement, the device was returned to me after being repaired. A few months later, the same issue occurred again, and once more, the laptop was returned after repair without honoring the replacement request.
The problem resurfaced a third time, and this time, I was blamed for a "user error" due to a faulty charging socket. The laptop was returned to me supposedly fixed, but it still wouldn’t charge and wouldn’t turn on, despite having charge when it shut down. Over the last year and a half, I’ve sent the device in for repair three times, each time experiencing the same issue of it not turning on or charging.
Now, for the fourth time, my laptop, fully charged, has suddenly shut down and won't turn on. As a software engineering student with exams, being without a computer for twenty days each time is a significant hardship. With only three months left on my warranty, I feel like I’m being strung along until it expires. They say replacements are only possible within the first six months, but why wasn’t this communicated earlier? If a replacement is not provided this time, I will file complaints with all relevant authorities. I demand not just a fix, but a replacement.
