My 2023 Chery Tiggo 8 Pro Excellent has paint blistering caused by rust on the tailgate, right exterior mirror, left exterior mirror, and left side mirror housing. When I noticed the issue during the summer, I contacted the service manager at Düzce Kervan Chery dealership and sent photos. Because I live out of town, they inspected the vehicle during my 12-month maintenance visit.
During the inspection, they asked whether I had a garage, and I said yes. They claimed the issue was caused by temperature differences between indoor and outdoor conditions. I questioned this explanation by asking why the left mirror is affected but the right mirror is not. I also pointed out that the car has window visors—if temperature differences were the cause, those parts would have shown deformation first. Additionally, the outside temperature is around 86°F, while the inside of the car is around 68–77°F, and I live in the Black Sea region, which has a humid climate.
The service forwarded the case to Chery Türkiye. After three weeks, and only following repeated calls from me, I was informed that the issue was not covered under warranty. I request that this issue be covered under warranty and that the deformed parts be replaced.
