I Face Partial Refund and Missing Payment at Horizontas Hotel Halkidiki Booking
On July 29, 2025, I booked a stay at Horizontas Hotel in Nea Plagia, Halkidiki, Greece through Booking.com for the dates August 14–16. My reservation number was 5400323**7 (confirmation code 8137, pin included). I completed the booking with my credit card under my own name, Ayaz Karabulut, and paid €162 in advance.
When I arrived at the listed location on Booking.com, I was shocked to find that the hotel was not Horizontas Hotel but a completely different property called Hotel Laki. The receptionist could not find my reservation and explained that the property had changed ownership two months earlier. Because of this, our holiday was ruined, and we had to return home without staying.
I canceled the reservation, and only €82 was refunded to me, leaving €79 still unpaid. Despite multiple attempts, I could not reach Booking.com by phone, and my written messages received no reply. Neither the hotel nor Booking.com offered any alternative accommodation or solution, leaving me stranded.
I demand the immediate refund of the outstanding €79 and also request additional compensation for the serious inconvenience and disruption caused. Booking.com must take responsibility for allowing outdated and misleading listings to remain active on their platform.
