I booked a stay at Pink Lemon Hotel, Agisilaou 90, Athens, Greece, from July 22 to August 13 through Booking.com. The reservation (confirmation no. 6221997749, PIN 7632) clearly stated no prepayment and free cancellation. However, at the request of the consulate, I needed to cancel my trip. Without any prior notice, €646.88 was charged to my credit card before my cancellation.
As soon as I learned that my visa would not be issued, I immediately informed both the hotel and Booking.com and canceled my reservation. Despite my prompt cancellation and the booking terms, the amount charged without my consent has still not been refunded, leaving me responsible for a debt I should not owe.
I have contacted Booking.com customer service and the hotel multiple times over the past month. Each time, I was assured the matter would be resolved, yet no refund has been processed within the promised timelines. I am extremely dissatisfied with both Booking.com and Pink Lemon Hotel.
I demand the immediate refund of the €646.88 that was wrongly taken from my credit card. If this issue is not resolved promptly, I will proceed with legal action to recover my funds and address this breach of booking terms.
