On January 28, 2026, I made a reservation at the htop bcn City #htopenjoy hotel through Booking.com. During the reservation process, I accidentally completed the booking without noticing that the payment was charged immediately, but because the reservation was supposed to have free cancellation, I canceled the booking on the same day. Despite this, $850 USD was debited from my Yapı Kredi bank card. In the Booking.com system, it says that “your refund has been processed” after the cancellation. In my conversation with Booking.com, I was also told that the payment was refunded to the bank on January 30, 2026 according to their records. However, when I spoke with Yapı Kredi, the bank said that there is no record of any refund and that only the original charge is visible in my account. Because the refund appears in the Booking.com system but there is no refund transaction on the bank side, I am experiencing serious financial inconvenience. My Booking reservation confirmation number is 1792718783*8784559 and the PIN code is 0146. The payment was charged to my Yapı Kredi bank card. I request that Booking.com and Yapı Kredi immediately refund the $850 USD to my account without further delay, that they clearly investigate where the refund process has become stuck, and that they provide me with a written explanation of the situation.
