On August 10, 2025, I discovered that a charge of €1,206 (₺58,950) had been made to my Yapı Kredi Bank credit card without my knowledge or consent. This transaction occurred without any reservation or purchase made by me on Booking.com. I have never authorized this payment, and there was no email, SMS, or verification request before the charge was processed.
As soon as I noticed the transaction, I immediately blocked my card and filed a dispute with my bank. The investigation is currently ongoing, but I am deeply concerned about how such a large unauthorized charge could occur on a global booking platform without security checks.
I demand a full refund of the €1,206 taken from my account and expect Booking to urgently investigate how this breach happened. Additionally, I call on Booking to strengthen its payment security measures to prevent similar incidents for other customers. I want this matter resolved promptly and transparently, with clear communication until the issue is fully closed.
