I Canceled My Booking.com Trip with Free Cancellation but Still Got Charged
I had made a hotel reservation on Booking.com for a September vacation under reservation number 6183468188. Due to a change in plans, I used the free cancellation option provided by the platform and received confirmation that the cancellation was successful. However, despite this confirmation, I was still charged ₺979.75 on June 2, 2025, without my knowledge or consent.
I have made numerous attempts to contact Booking.com’s support team, but it has been impossible to get a response. No one is reachable, and there’s no clear way to resolve this serious issue through their platform. I am now stuck with a significant charge for a service I canceled well within the allowed time frame.
This is not only unacceptable but also feels like a violation of consumer trust. I demand that Booking.com immediately refund the unauthorized payment to my credit card. If this issue is not resolved promptly, I will be forced to take legal action and file an official complaint with the public prosecutor’s office.
Fix this now, Booking. This kind of behavior is disgraceful for a global brand.
