Booking.com Refuses Refund on Canceled Elefteria Hotel Leros Island Booking
On July 16, 2026, I made a reservation via Booking.com for the Elefteria Hotel on Leros Island, Greece, covering the dates between July 29 and August 6. My reservation number is 6344324230. I canceled this reservation on July 23 and gave written notice to both the hotel and Booking.com.
They replied to my cancellation email, confirming receipt and stating that they would attend to the matter. Despite this, a charge of 305 Euros on July 29 and another 305 Euros on July 30—totaling 610 Euros—was drawn from my credit card. On the card statement, these charges appear from Elefteria Hotel under the name Kanaris Antonios.
I have contacted both Booking.com and the hotel multiple times via written communication and telephone, but I have been unable to reach a resolution. Booking.com disclaims responsibility by asserting that I booked a non-refundable rate, even though I possess the written correspondence confirming my cancellation and their response stating they would handle it.
I demand that at least half of the total 610 Euros charged to my card for a canceled reservation be refunded to me, and that both the hotel and Booking.com resolve this hardship.
