On September 9, 2025, I had a confirmed reservation (#5154****65) at Angel King Cross Hub Hotel through Booking.com. I paid a total of ₺26,438 by credit card, and the booking was confirmed.
However, on September 6, 2025, the hotel contacted me directly and demanded an extra £300 deposit through a separate payment link tied to my card details. Since this requirement was never mentioned during booking, I refused to pay the additional deposit. As a result, the hotel refused to share my check-in details, making my reservation effectively unusable.
I attempted to cancel my reservation, but the hotel declined my request. I immediately reached out to Booking.com customer service, yet after more than 24 hours, I still have not received a response or solution.
This situation is highly unprofessional and unfair. I request:
The cancellation of my reservation without penalty.
A full refund of the ₺26,438 I already paid.
Clear action against the hotel for imposing hidden charges after confirmation.
As a customer, I should not be forced into hidden, last-minute payments outside of the platform. I expect urgent assistance from Booking.com to resolve this matter and to protect other travelers from similar issues.
