I Experienced Unauthorized Credit Card Charge from Booking.com Hotel

On August 12, 2025, at 23:49, I discovered that a hotel listed on Booking.com charged my credit card without my knowledge or consent. An amount of ₺35,770 (€726) was withdrawn from my account even though I never made a booking or authorized this payment. As the cardholder, I had absolutely nothing to do with this transaction.

I immediately contacted my bank, reported the unauthorized charge, and informed them that the transaction was not made by me. The bank confirmed that the payment is now under investigation. However, this does not change the fact that a large sum was taken from my account without my approval. I never provided consent for this charge, nor did I receive any booking confirmation related to it.

I am requesting the full and immediate refund of the ₺35,770 (€726) taken from my card. Booking.com must urgently investigate how such an unauthorized transaction was processed and ensure that my funds are returned without delay. As a customer, I expect transparency, accountability, and swift resolution.
